Simply put, our club could not exist year after year without drawing upon the support and talents of our wonderfully diverse membership. There are no paid positions or hired personnel at Calgary BMX Racing. Every aspect of the track upkeep and the successful execution of our racing events are 100% organized, managed and done through volunteer efforts.

Volunteer Requirements

*** PLEASE NOTE IMPORTANT CHANGES TO THE CALGARY BMX VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT FOR THE 2025 SEASON ***
I agree to the Calgary BMX Club Volunteer program and will submit a cheque, money order or put my credit card on file with the Calgary BMX Square payment option. The payment of $400 post dated for Sept. 30 2025 to Calgary BMX must be made by June 15, 2025. If membership payment is made after June 15, 2025, I have one week to hand in my post dated payment. I also will submit a minimum of a $50 donation for fundraising. This donation will be made in the form of cash, cheque, square payment or an item worth a minimum of $50. If I do not submit a payment and donation by June 15, 2025, or by one week after my registration is complete, my membership will be suspended until it has been received.
One bond payment and donation is required per family. Any family member may work the hours needed. I understand that it is my responsibility to sign up for volunteer hours. I understand that the mandatory requirements to fulfill my volunteer commitment consists of 20 hours to include: 1 work bee, 1 event( Friday Night Lights Race or AB BMX Day), and the AB Provincial/Canada Cup to be held at Calgary BMX June 28/29 2025. For the Calgary Provincial race I agree to work a minimum of 1 shift per day, for 2 of the 3 days over the course of the event on June 27-29. I understand if the volunteer commitment is not fulfilled, my payment will be cashed. If I fulfill my commitment, Calgary BMX agrees to either return or shred my post dated payment.

New Member Registering after July 15
*** please note *** This policy is for members who are new to BMX and have registered for a Calgary BMX membership after the date of July 15, 2025.

Calgary BMX is providing the option to submit your volunteer bond through our Square Site on our webpage. Square is a secure payment method where we can keep your credit card on file. Your payment will not be processed if you fulfill your volunteer commitment. Failure to fulfill the volunteer commitment by Sept. 30 will result in Calgary BMX processing your $400.00 payment. Your $50 fundraising donation can also be made via our square site and payment will be processed by a board member only.
