Simply put, our club could not exist year after year without drawing upon the support and talents of our wonderfully diverse membership. There are no paid positions or hired personnel at Calgary BMX Racing. Every aspect of the track upkeep and the successful execution of our racing events are 100% organized, managed and done through volunteer efforts.

Volunteer Requirements
Full Season Volunteer Bond for Racing Membership - May to September
20 hours to include a minimum of 2 work bees and a minimum of 2 shifts at 2 of our events.
Events are:
- BMX Day in AB - May 31
- Father’s Day/Stampede Breakfast Sunday Special Race - June 21
- Friday Night Lights Fireworks Race - July 3
- Open Race/Food Truck Extravaganza - Aug TBD
If you want to forgo the volunteer hours and pay the bond, it is $400
Mid Season Volunteer Bond for Racing Membership - July to September
15 hours to include a minimum of 1 work bee and 1 shift at either:
- Friday Night Lights Fireworks Race - July 3
- Open Race/Food Truck Extravaganza Aug TBD
If you want to forgo the volunteer hours and pay the bond, it is $300
Late Season Volunteer Bond for Racing Membership - August to September
10 hours or pay the bond for $150.
Non-Racing Membership $120
- Must have an ABA Community Membership (non-racing)
- Can participate in all club events except racing
Full Season Volunteer Commitment for Non-Racing Membership from May to September
20 hours to include a minimum of 2 work bees or pay the bond for $400
Mid Season Volunteer Commitment for Non-Racing Membership from July to September
15 hours to include a minimum of 1 work bee or pay the bond for $300
Late Season Volunteer Commitment for Non-Racing Membership from August to September
10 hours or pay the bond for $150

Calgary BMX is providing the option to submit your volunteer bond through our Square Site on our webpage. Square is a secure payment method where we can keep your credit card on file. Your payment will not be processed if you fulfill your volunteer commitment. Failure to fulfill the volunteer commitment by Sept. 30 will result in Calgary BMX processing your $400.00 payment.
