GET RAD was a Huge Success!

Monday, 27 May 2013

Posted Monday, May 27, 2013 by Calgary BMX Racing.

A big THANK YOU to all who visited us this past Sunday for the first annual BMX Day in Alberta. We hope you had a great time; we really enjoyed meeting you and would love to see you again. Visit us anytime at the track, or even better, if you want to GET RAD all summer long and are ready to join right are the online membership and enrollment details:

  • First, you’ll need to obtain an Alberta Bicycle Association license for insurance on the track. There are two types of BMX licenses, a general license ($40) that gives you access to the Calgary track only, and a full license ($85) that allows you to ride Calgary BMX and all other tracks throughout Alberta (Okotoks, Airdrie, Cochrane, etc.).
  • Secondly, and while applying for your license, you can purchase your membership to Calgary BMX Racing. There are two options, a Trial Membership ($40 additional to the $40 ABA license fee), which gets you four visits to the track and access to novice coaching on Wednesday nights, or a Full Membership of ($110 additional to your $40 or $85 ABA license fee). Full Membership is good for the entire season and includes involvement in the Performance Coaching program. Full Membership also grants access to open track times outside of regular district racing and coaching programs, and makes you eligible for our year-end club awards.

When applying online, you’ll need a picture of the rider (head shot) to upload for the full membership and Alberta Bicycle Association license. You will also need to provide a birth certificate copy for proof of age to the registration office upon your first visit to the club as a member.
